While out working in my yard, my dad heard what he thought was a steam train whistle. So we hopped in the car and headed for the nearest crossing. We were a bit late, but at least saw it zoom by. Kinda cool. Apparently it’s UP 844 on it’s way back to Wyoming.

I guess the Diesel Electric is for just incase the steamer doesn’t go? Too cool I wish BNSF would do something similar.
